Our fashion brand sprung into being at the start of 2024 in Ballito, South Africa.
From day one we’ve purposed to do everything, from designing to creating to interacting with you, in an intentional and uplifting manner.
Each garment is handcrafted to be striking, impactful and unique, just like you. Our expertise in fabric, sustainability, trends, and construction means that any item you purchase will last for the years and seasons ahead.
We want you to feel beautiful and well dressed for every occasion. And we hope our clothes make you feel celebrated as a woman, confidently inspired to give of your best.
A note from our Founder, Monique
As a little girl, I dreamt about one day owning a fashion business – one that did more than simply sell clothes. I envisioned a space to uplift women, help the local community, build lasting relationships and impact the fashion world sustainably. And so, Light and Day was born.
As a qualified fashion and textile designer, with a background in lingerie design and quality–assurance, I place great value in the details of each hand–crafted garment.
